Coolsculpting® In New Jersey

Coolsculpting New Jersey

CoolSculpting® is the #1 non-invasive fat reduction treatment with over 8 million treatments worldwide. It is FDA cleared to treat nine areas of the body for the permanent destruction of fat cells.

CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that requires no needles, no surgery, and no downtime! Using a patented controlled cooling method called cryolipolysis, coolsculpting penetrates deep in the skin to target and destroy fat cells only, other skin and tissues remain unharmed. After the treatment, the treated fat cells undergo cell death are eliminated through the body’s lymphatic system, leaving you looking more sculpted!

How Does Coolsculpting® Work?

CoolSculpting® was discovered after Harvard scientists learned that children who would hold ice pops in their mouths for prolonged periods of time, would have small amounts of fat reduction in their cheeks. This led to the discovery that fat cells are sensitive to cold temperatures.

The CoolSculpting® technology targets fat cells beneath the skin and cools them to a temperature that triggers natural cell death. Over time, the treated fat cells shrink, they are then naturally metabolized and eliminated by your body, leaving you with a more sculpted body.

Once these fat cells have been eliminated, they are gone for good!

Who is A Good Candidate?

CoolSculpting® candidates have stubborn fat that is resistant to diet and exercise. The candidate should be in good physical health and within 30 pounds of their ideal weight.

The majority of CoolSculpting® candidates can achieve their goals after just one treatment, because each treatment can eliminate approximately 20-25 percent of fat in the treated area. Some candidates who desire further fat reduction, can do so with additional treatments to the area after a minimum of four weeks after treatment.

Who is Not A Good Candidate?

If you have a hernia mesh, you may not be the best candidate to treat areas of the abdomen. CoolSmooth may be used since it is a non-suctioning applicator.

If you take blood thinners, you are advised against a CoolSculpting® treatment because it may cause bruising or internal bleeding.

Patients who have been diagnosed with Cryoglobulinemia which is a rare medical condition where the blood contains large amounts of cryoglobulins are also not CoolSculpting® candidates.

If you are pregnant, we advise you wait until after your pregnancy to be treated with CoolSculpting®.

    Is Coolsculpting®Painful?

Most patients say they do not experience any pain during a CoolSculpting® procedure while some experience moderate discomfort throughout the process. The first few minutes when the applicator is applied and after the applicator is removed, you may experience slight discomfort that dissipates quickly, similar to being out in the snow without gloves

What to Expect During Your Consultation?

Your CoolSculpting consultation will take about 15-30 minutes. We will review your goals with you, review the CoolSculpting® treatment and perform an examination to determine if you are a good candidate. Your consultation will be completed with a specific treatment plan and price estimate designed just for you. If time permits, you can be treated the same day as your consultation.

What to Expect During Your Treatment

Coolsculpting consultation New JerseyAfter marking the treatment area and making sure you are in a nice comfortable position, the applicator is placed on the treatment area with a vacuum-like suction that pulls and holds the fat in a tissue cup (except for outer thigh treatments), which then brings the temperature down gradually. During this time, you may experience some pulling or tugging with some tingling sensations until the area becomes numb (usually 3-5 minutes).

The applicator will stay on for 35-75 minutes, depending on the area being treated. When the treatment has completed, your technician will provide a quick massage to further break down the fat cells.

What to Expect After Your Treatment

After your CoolSculpting® treatment, you can return to normal activities without any restrictions. You may experience slight swelling, tenderness and possible light bruising to the treated area, but this will disappear in a few hours to a few days and will not be noticeable to others. You will begin to see results as soon as 4 weeks, and continue to see results up to 4 months after your treatment.

The majority of CoolSculpting® patients can achieve their desired results in just one treatment, however, additional treatments may be necessary. After your CoolSculpting® treatment, we recommend a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and exercise to maintain your CoolSculpting® results long term.
